90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

The vineyards are planted on different soils, and this diversity gives depth to the wines. Château St. Jean de Lavaux's high level of expertise, modern facilities, and improved management techniques have made it one of the leading vineyards in the region.

TASTING

Dark red with purple hughs.

Complex aromas of red berries, cocoa, and flowers fill the glass,

with a hint of oak on the finish.

Full of red fruit, plum and vanilla, finished with a light oaky flavor.

Chateau St. Jean de Lavaud is a small domain that is part of Chateau Vieux Maillet (Pomerol). Both castles/wineries are property of the flamish familie Van Lalderen. 

They moved to the Bordeaux region in the year 2000.
